Quick Shots Offer Rapid Access to Surgical Research

M. Sophia Newman, MPH

September 27, 2026

Quick Shots, a format of research presentation formerly known as ePosters, are an important forum for researchers in every career stage to share the emerging technological insights and clinical care innovations that will advance surgical practice in the future.

Quick Shots include rapid-fire, concurrent presentations from researchers directly to attendees, as well as ePosters available for viewing throughout the day. More than 450 are available at this year’s meeting.

Viewing kiosks and six presentation stations are in Salon GHI in the West Salon. The kiosks provide onsite access throughout the day: today 11:30 am–5:45 pm, Monday 8:00 am–5:45 pm, and Tuesday 8:00 am–2:15 pm.

In addition, researchers will present their Quick Shots at the presentation stations during five scheduled sessions of 1.5 hours each:

  • Today, starting at 12:45 pm and 2:30 pm
  • Monday, September 28, starting at 9:45 am and 2:30 pm
  • Tuesday, September 29, at 9:45 am

Each of the six presentation stations will highlight a specific discipline at each of the scheduled times. These areas include all surgical disciplines, as well as:

  • Artificial intelligence and robotics
  • Health services research
  • Transplantation and tissue engineering
  • Ethics and geriatric/palliative care
  • Global surgery
  • And more

Further details on presentation schedules can be found in the Meeting Platform.

In addition to the five Quick Shots sessions, there will be an Exceptional Quick Shots presentation on Monday at 11:30 am in Room 158AB. In this 1-hour session, researchers who produced the 11 highest-scoring Scientific Forum Quick Shots will present their work.

All Quick Shots are listed on the Clinical Congress meeting platform, with titles listed in the meeting app for ease of navigation.

The Quick Shot presentations offer all attendees an opportunity to view new science, exchange ideas, and gain practical insights to advance patient care and generate further meaningful research in the future.
